Training

JCI University's mission is to: (1) provide the training needed to ensure that JCI members have the right competencies and skills to conduct projects and training seminars, and to serve as JCI local, national or international leaders; and (2) to provide the training necessary to live our mission by helping our members develop: leadership skills, social responsibility, fellowship, and entrepreneurship. Summaries of courses offered follows.

JCI Achieve. A Chapter Development Course that deals with understanding our place within the non-profit industry, our challenges, the competitive factors and how to deal with them, recruitment and retention in relation to the existing demographic groups and how the brand promise is being delivered worldwide by our organization. JCI Achieve should be taken by all current and future chapter officers and those who want to improve their management and planning skills.
Qualifications to attend: None

JCI Admin. A Chapter Management Course recommended for all new local JCI Board members or any member who wants to become a leader at any level in the chapter. The course covers the structure of the local Board, management of the chapter affairs, the conducting of meetings, chapter planning and the importance of having a balanced program for the achievement of JCI's Mission.
Qualifications to attend: None

JCI Designer. JCI Designer, The JCI Training Designers Course, is a program of the JCI University that will prepare individuals who already have proven talent in training presentation, for a new dimension of training development. JCI Designer uses the most advanced concepts, methods, and technology designed to create the environment to allow students to develop a new training course during the JCI Designer course. Students will work with computers and basic knowledge in Microsoft Word® and Power Point® is required.
Qualifications to attend: CLT+25 Status

JCI Lead. JCI Lead is a two-day-learning experience that can be taken by those that want to improve their skills as a team, organization or project leader. Course topics include "Climbing to the Top: Personal and Organizational Strategic Design", "Developing the Climbing Leader Within", and "Your Way: Planning your Year".
Qualifications to attend: None

JCI Presenter. A JCI Effective Presentations Course is a one-day course designed to help those who want to enhance their skills as a presenter. This course may be used as a one-time presentation course or the first step in becoming a JCI University Trainer. This course along with JCI Trainer has replaced JCI PRIME in 2008.
Qualifications to attend: None

JCI Trainer. A two-day course designed for those who want to start in the training career. This course can be your practical guide to implementing sound personal and leadership development programs in order to create positive change. JCI Trainer builds your confidence in presenting complex information in clear and engaging ways and increases your ability to motivate others. Additionally it develops your own communication and organization skills, and teaches you to look at new situations with an open and positive mindset. This course along with JCI Trainer has replaced JCI PRIME in 2008.
